No! Anadin Extra contains aspirin which may harm your unborn baby. Generally medication containing Aspirin is not given to Children under the age of 16, as it can sometimes cause Reye's Syndrone. Stick to straight forward Paracetamol and if that doesn't cure the pain, see your doctor. Goodluck!

It's up to you!
Personally I don't use brand names - I just buy paracetamol or aspirin. This way I am getting just the drug and not extra caffeine or sugars and colourants.
Why pay more for a brand name when the pure ingredients are cheaper and just as effective?
As to when you're pregnant, ask a reliable source, not us!

i'd be concerned about the aspirin in it, as it thins the blood and may well cause bleeding. you'd probably be better off with a straight paracetamol product, like regular anadin. best ask your doctor what he/ she thinks, they might be able to tell you a product you can feel sure about.

To be honest I wouldn't, if I was still in the league of havin babies. Best thing to do is pop round to your pharmasist he/she will advise you what you can and can not take whilst expecting. Hope you have an easy pregnancy & birth honey...eat plenty of fruit & veg & take care with the poultry and offal if you eat any, and don't forget things like sausages contain offal and ya not supposed to eat it....sorry being a bit of a mummy here...anyway good luck

You should definitely not take any aspirin product while pregnant. A safer alternative would be Tylenol or any acetaminophen (or "paracetamol" which is the generic name) product. Acetaminophen is the considered the safest pain reliever to take while pregnant.

It should tell you on the box if it is safe, although when I was pregnant I was told that thelikes of Nurofen are no good and that the only safe pain killer in pregnancy is paracetamol.

Just simple paracetamol if you are in pain, and no more than two 500mg tablets, but everyone is different and if in doubt ask your doctor.. All the best :-)

NO!! If you need a painkiller you can take paracetamol in moderation, if that doesn't work see your Dr. Don't gamble with your babies life.
