During Y2K an executive quit his multimillion dollar job and moved his family to the mountains. What happened?

This gentleman was convinced society was about to end and moved his wife and family somewhere in the Rockies. I remember that he was either a business owner or an upper level executive with a multimillion dollar income.

Does anyone else remember this story and know what happened after Y2K failed to materialize?
