I have a splitting headache and I can't really function right now. Someone just gave me extra strength acetaminophen to take and now I'm concerned that I'm not suppose to be taking it.

I'm 5 weeks in my first trimester. Help!

I was worried about the same thing when I was pregnant. I worked in an OB/GYN office at the time and so I asked one of the physicians and he said that it is the safest drug to take during pregnancy. I wouldn't take them everyday but now and then is ok.

Yes, tylenol is one of the few things you can take while pregnant. Just make sure to follow the directions on the package. Just so you know you will most likely have a headache every day for the first trimester at least. I had that with both of my pregnancies. Thank goodness for tylenol. Next time you go in to see the dr. ask him for a complete list of things that are safe for you to take so you dont worry or make any mistakes.

It is safe to use tylenol. Call your doctor anytime you have a question and they can give you a list of what is safe. Most of them will give you a lot of info about pregnancy you may already have a list of what you can take. If you haven't been to the doctor yet you need to go. Prenatal healthcare is very important. You should also be taking prenatal vitamins and make sure you're eating right. Good luck.

congrats but you have a long way to go. That is about all you can take is tylenol. Unfortuanetly if it's a migrane plain tylenol isn't going to help when I was having migraines in my pregnancy my doctor gave me tylenol 3. Be careful not to take too many 6 aday. Try a hot towel across your head that seem to help me. run hot water under the faucet with towel ring towel out and put it in a sandwich bag and put in microwave for 30 sec it will stay hot longer put don't get it too hot don't want to burn yourself. try it

You will be fine as long as you take the reccomended dose. no more that 1000mg in a dose. (2 extra strengths are ok) just dont take ibuprofin, its not good for the baby. I have had 2 kids and my doctor says that tylenol will NOT hurt your babay whatsoever! I get headaches occasionally too.

Actually Tylenol is the one drug you can take safely while pregnant. Just follow the directions on the bottle for dosage amount. Any other meds talk toyour doctor first before taking.

Tylenol is safe, but use sparingly. I had a bad toothache at the end of my pregnancy and had to keep taking it. My baby came out fine, but still, dont take it too often.

It's okay to take maximum strength tylenol for pains. Your doctor should give you a list of medication that you're allowed to take during pregnancy. Next time you see your doctor, ask him/her for it.

I wouldn't take extra strength, or maybe take just one. Tylonol is the recommended pain reliever for pregnancy. Advil and asprin are no-nos.
