i have a 27 day cycle. im supposed to be ovulating today. i had sex 3 days ago, i heard having sex a few days before could get u a girl. i had sex a few times today already. wht ya think the chances are.. oh, and we've been trying for 4 months already.

Scientists have said that female sperm are slower swimmers and live longer, and that male sperm are faster swimmers, but live shorter. So if you want to IMPROVE your chances of conceiving a girl (not to say that it will happen) the best chances of conceiving a girl is having sex 3-4 days before your ovulation day.. avoid the 5th day before, and the 2 days before and day of.

The gender of the child doesn't have anything to do with when you happen to conceive. It's not even dependant on the egg the mother is providing. The gender is determined by the sperm that happens to make it to the egg first.

well if you are ovulating today and had sex, your chances are about 20%.
