I'm a retired CFO and was given horrendous tasks to coordinate financial information among senior managers. I have never had a problem getting the work done myself but to get other people to jump on the band wagon was a pain in the behind. When it comes to financial issues things are pretty much 'cut n' dried.' Therefore, I did not have much patience with slackers.
I was known as 'drive-by e-mail.' I cut people no slack because if you did then it would take forever to get the job done.
Patience was never my strong suit and I never covered it up. Like Popeye 'I yam what I yam' and never made excuses for it.
Was I liked by senior managers? No! But I had their attention or some form of respect because I could bring the hammer down and besides no one else wanted to do it.

Yes, I don't cover it up too well. I know its corny, but I'm reading a self help book that helping so far if your interested. It just talks to you about how it is you that is letting yourself get frustrated, not the world around you and that you need to change your thinking and outlook. Its call "change your mind and your life will follow" by Karen Casey. A friend bought it for me who had a similar problem with "rage' and "frustration" .

I have absolutely NO real patience.

Patience is a virtue...........I do not possess this virtue.

However.... ....I AM very tolerant ....... .....and that makes it easier to be around me.

BUT...........tolerance takes work..........work produces stress.....and stress makes me weird..... .....and when I get weird I become IN-tolerant !!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOOO... .....it's MUCH better to not push my limits.

I respond worst to FLAMING ignorance and aggression..... ....so most people are OK with me..... ......but since I see LOTS of people each day...... ......it's just a matter of time before I begin to lose what tolerance I began the day with !!!!!!

I'm easiest to be around before 10:00 AM and after 6:00 PM.

NOON is the worst, usually !!!!!!!

What is the magic "cure" for my IN-tolerance ?

It's "sweetness".... .........it tames my nerves.... .....BIG time !!!!!

And it's IMMEDIATE.
