Ok I have another question on this topic...there is a girl in my dance rehearsals class who is jealous of me and I will tell you why...I try to explain something to her about a certain move, and she gets on the defensive with me, so as a result I don't help her anymore. Also, she doesn't come to any of the classes but only to dance rehearsals, and that's bad because you won't know the right moves unless you go to classes as well. When one of the the more experienced dancers demonstrated with me on how to move right with a certain dance move, she sat down looking down at the floor, not even paying any attention. Anyway, she is beginning to annoy the crap outta me because she is acting stupid and ridiculous. Isn't that how jealous people do? They don't think, they act out in stupid, idiotic ways? Hit me back on this. Thanks.

I am in no way being catty I was being helpful. Also the instructor gets annoyed if you don't at least take classes, he doesn't care if you get a few in - he wants you to get familiar with certain moves.

I can't mind my own business - this girl is on my dance team. If she were on another dance team, then I wouldn't worry. I shouldn't worry anyway, and just let her look like the *** that she is acting.

Thanks to all of the people who were courteous while answering my question. To the rude folks, you all got some serious issues. I came on here to ask a question, not be bombarded with your negativity. Have a nice day anywayz.

Sounds like she is not only jealous but a bit childish. If she was mature person, she would be open-minded and take your tips as a essential helping tool to make a better grade in the class and also to enhance her performance as a dancer. In your description, its like she doesnt even care about the class if she only shows up on rehearsals days. You are doing a good thing but it might be a good idea just to not tell her anything if she doesnt pay attn anyways. Good luck!

Perhaps she didn't want your explanation. You're not the teacher so unless she asks you for help, I wouldn't try it. She might think you are a snob and isn't jealous of you. There may be reasons why she doesn't go to class--perhaps there's a time conflict or something. Maybe you shouldn't spend so much time thinking she's jealous of you because it may be that you are jealous of her. I'm not saying this to hurt you, but you're probably jealous that she gets out of class and you have to go. That maybe not the reason, but my suggestion to you is to just ignore her. There is always going to be people that annoy you where ever you go, so forget them and go about your business.
If your performance depends on hers then I would go with the rest of your team and speak with the teacher about it. Good luck!

Is it possible you are being catty when showing her a move? Maybe she is just trying to get under your skin because you let her..... Or is there a reason she can not attend practices? such as an ill family member....

If she has no reason not to attend and does not want to learn, stop worrying about her and worry about your self, and if she ends up looking like an @$$.... it will have no direct impact on how well you dance. ----- IN FACT, YOU WILL LOOK BETTER BECAUSE YOU WILL KNOW YOUR STUFF, AND SHE WILL LOOK LOST!!! -----

I wouldn't say she is jealous, just the opposite, she doesn't care, if she did she would be pushing herself to be better. Just worry about yourself, and forget about her.

Unless the instructer sees what is going on and chooses to ask her to leave the program, I cant see anything changing.... and if this program costs money and she has paid it.... i just cant see much improving sorry.

best of luck

Why do people always assume that when someone doesn't like you, they're jealous? Are you that great and wonderful and deserving of being envied? Get over yourself.

Why even bother. Don't pay attention to her. When you turn 13, you will find that there are more important things to worry about.

Are you sure you're not the one jealous?

Her thoughts is none of your business, if she acts stupid and make fool out of herself. Let her be.
