actually it's not being declared but technically right now we are in a world war, osma bin laden declared war on all free nations, but I would imagine there is a reason for the governments to not want this exploited in any way

How much do you really know about this? Other than what your TV tells you, I challenge you to find any core info that isn't spun into propaganda by one side or another.
We are in WW3. Check your history books for how the previous two started. The world is divided (pun very much intended) into 'theatres'. What theatre you are in depends on what side you support, whether it be financially, morally, or by direct military strength.
We (the folks who don't matter but pay for everything) are being used. Used. Used. Used.
They are using our blood, money, and moral convictions to fight a war that we have no part of. When I say no part of, I mean this:
The real benefits are the colossal contracts being given to international corporations to build TV stations and subway systems halfway across the world. This is while our people here (ALL of us, not just white, well-to-do braggards) foot the bill and see NONE of the benefits. And the reason you hear the word 'conspiracy' tossed around alot is because THERE IS ONE.
Check the word out in the dictionary (if you can get past 'brute', 'bomb', 'bigot') and you'll find it's not what you think. Then go read your history books again. You'll find that the same people who were behind the scenes throughout Vietnam are the same ones pulling the strings now. Cheney, Rummy, Scott Baio (ok, maybe not Chachi)...all these guys under Bush Sr. (director of CIA at the time 'black ops' were all the rage) used the same tactics then that they are using now. Go ahead. Look. I'll wait.
Now. Did you find any parallels? This is part of what detectives call the MO, modus operandi. These guys have alot of irons in the fire. And WE have no part of it.
So until we use the golden rule as our new foreign policy, we should stop the jingoist bickering. Jingo. Look that one up, too. It's somewhere in between 'freedom' and 'liberty'. Oh, when you're looking those words up as well, see if there is any mention of those concepts being owned by America and charged by God to force it down unwilling throats.
I'd like to add that I have no party affiliation and no 'leanings'. I could care less about your precious partisan prostration.

Should the question be: what could we do to stop WW3? or more generally to stop any form of mass killing.
Answer: Deal with the chinese communist party! They have ties with South Korea, Hezbollah and Al Queda i.e. any body that is willing to stand up to the US.
If you don't believe me, look up human rights in China first - persecution of trade unions, minority groups, Falun Gong meditation etc. etc.
Next have a look at the Epoch Times newspaper (www.theepochtimes.com). They started in China first, reporting human rights abuses and have collected a store of info about the ccp.
Oh! while your there, there's a link to the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party - some rather disturbing historical facts about the party.

In my opinion, WWIII was the cold war and it is over. We are now in the beginning of WW IV. But whether you want to call it III or IV we are already in it. The media needs to quit concentrating on bashing Bush (who can't be re-elected anyway) and start reporting factual stories about what is going on in the world and how it is all related.

Well, lets see, if we pull all our troops from the m/e today and let them all just get along, I'd say not very much longer. Historically the region has demonstrated itself to be somewhat (very) politically unstable and they are working on nukes as we speak. They don't have the capacity to deliver them very far but, don't worry, a war of that dimension will affect the entire planet in very short order.

Presumably about the time that someone invades America??
I would say that in the next decade is realistic. I don't really want to be around to witness it, presumably it will resemble the apocalypse?
I do think that there will be one though, even if it isn't for another 50 years.

Whenever the Muslims declare a holy war. We really need to be ruthless then, they are plus they have not fully felt the wrath of the West.
