Marilyn Manson is an actual minister in the Church of Satan. How serious he is about that particular is anyone's guess. More than likely it was all done in the name of sensationalism.

Manson IS serious - not about being satanic, so much as about challenging the conventions of a society that shuns and destroys anyone stepping out of the accepted norm - he uses shock and degradation to focus our attention on the way we live and the ideas we accept without thinking about it - he's using the tools of media against the status quo, shock and degradation being the only things that this society has been conditioned to respond to - is he hiding in his basement, lighting black candles & chanting backwards in Latin? No, he's issuing statements to the press & talking to MTV News; because . . .

Regardless of what someone believes in - more than likely this is for publicity and to "keep in the public eye, while lining his pockets with money".

Well since he is a honorary member of the Church of Satan which goes off of Anton Levy I would definetely say he is a joke since anything Levyan's say is a joke. If he were a real satanist he would go off of Theistic or Modern satanic teachings

Whether it's a gimmick or his way of life, he's a brilliant artist and has made a name for himself in the mainstream.
He's the present day "Alice Cooper"...very entertaining...

I do like his music, however i don't agree with what he is into, But it is he who will have to answer for his choices in life, not for you to worry about, we don't hate remember, i wouldn't join him. i believe he has as much right as anyone to do what he feels is right, I don't agree with him. as long as he ain't killing anyone id say leave him be.
