Yes and No. Most organizations regard them as the same when it comes to jobs for example. A GED is a Graduate's Education Diploma or in slang a "Good Enough Diploma". A high school diploma certifies you actually graduated from high school -- not just took a GED test.

A GED is consider the same as a regular diploma but uniersity don't except them because the don't come with a transcript that spand the life you were in high school . but if you go to a community college they will accept them and then you can go to a 4 year college .

The equivalent. If you dropped out of High School and you want to continue with your studies you'll need your GED. You have to be over 16 in some states.

No, not really. My son got a GED and had problems finding a job. A GED tells the employer you are a quitter. You quit high school, so you are not reliable. My son ended up joining the military, but because he "only" had a GED, the Army was the only one who would take him.

No it is not... a GED is a lower form of diploma. when you get it .. people know you did not have what it takes to finish regualr high school.. and by today's standard that pretty telling..

No, but it's equivalent. So a GED would mean that although you didn't graduate high school, you were able to pass a test saying that you now know enough to pass.

It is the equivalent. You can also go to college with it. Many of my students have their GED. It doesn't give the experience of high school, both socially and intellectually.
