if we continue down the political path we are heading it will be something like "Atlas Shrugged", that's without the horrors we perpetrate on the environment globally (that is all inclusive with animals, rain forests etc)....I do not like the look of the future one bit. Sad thing is most cannot look past the noses on their faces to see the long term impact of decisions made today.....if we (the global community) continues down this path.....it is going to get very ugly, with a slight glimmer that some "survivors" might have learned enough from history to try things a bit differently. Silly, but I always have some little shred of hope....

Wow so many pessimistic responses so far and most of which sucked. Here's my vision.
Of course technology will be more advanced and as a result, pollution will decrease. And as humans progress in life, they become smarter and more self-aware because evolution will eventually wipe out those who lack intelligence. Since we are becoming smarter and more stable, one could assume the world will be more peaceful and businesses better connected. We will have a better grasp on how to holster energy and better means to distribute. Everyone will be richer and friendlier because we learn from prior mistakes.

Here are three web pages to get you started. Your best bet these days is almost instant and also free. If you have a computer, put it to good use and do as I did--I put "What will world future be like?" into google or Yahoo! Search, and it turned up endless web sites and web pages covering areas I had never even thought about and this took me 1 minute. It took me much longer to type the words you are reading here.
Use your search engine, please and do yourself a wonderful favor. Learn to cut and paste text if you don't already know how.
Here are those links: http://www.scotese.com/future.htm http://www.saint-andre.com/journal/1995-11-19.html

Best of luck!!

I believe the world will end soon. Between now and then we will have some new technologies that claim to save us time but we will still be busy and never have enough time to do what we need to do. People will begin to pay less and less attention to our true needs and more attention to Paris Hilton and the Olson Twins.
The rich will continue to get richer and the poor will continue to get poorer. The rate of fatherless children will increase. Teen pregnancy will increase. Cancer death rates will increase. Education levels will continue to drop. Violent crimes rates will increase. Drug use will increase. Population will continue to grow.
I am sorry but people are not good animals. Look at what we do to ourselves and our planet.

The future is what we make it to be. If the human race continues to pollute the atmosphere, insight wars, commit crimes, etc, it won't be a very nice future at all. We all share this planet, so let's all make our own little effort to make life better for ourselves and for all the others living here.

A super-virus will emerge from a tropical rain forest, and will decimate the human population. Civilization as we know it will grind to a halt. The suffering Eco-system will slowly heal. Gas at the pump will go up to ten dollars a gallon. In that order exactly.

Wireless broadband everywhere.
By the way tell you some jokes:
-Doctor! I have a serious problem, I can never remember what i just said.
-When did you first notice this problem?
-What problem?
One more joke:
A guy calls his vet and says "What should I do with my cat?Vet says "What do you mean? Guy says "I had a leak in my lawnmowers gas tank and the cat drank the gas. Then the cat began to run around and around the yard, climbed a tree. then fell out of the tree stiff. Vet says "Is the cat dead? Guy replies "nope he ran out of gas.

I'm leaning towards the whole "12 Monkeys" type future. Or, maybe it will be just like it is now, only lemon scented.
