Some analysts have their heads up their arses. They returned 90% of a defense that ranked #1 against the run last year, in the offseason they added a cornerback and a safety to help in the secondary. This defense is for real. They also had one of the highest scoring offenses in the league last year, a year in which they were reputed to have the leagues toughest schedule. This years Chargers team is really just an upgraded version of the 12-4 team from 2 years ago. The only worry they had this year was Rivers, but with the Chargers using him in much the same way as the Steelers use big Ben it doesn't seem to affect them much. The Chargers are a dangerous team this year, they will go at least 12-4 if they stay healthy at key positions.

They were playing really crappy teams. I think the Chargers could contend for the division however. What looked like one of the toughest divisions in the AFC now looks weaker. Denver's start has been poor and Kansas City looks bad without Green as QB. SD will run into very tough competition the next 2 weeks against Baltimore and Pittsburgh, two probable losses for SD. I like the Chargers and want them to make the playoffs, but we need to see how they play against teams likely to make the playoffs before we get too carried away. Rivers is potentially a good QB but is without much game time experience. The defense looks good but again let's see how they do against two really good teams like Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I think the Chargers may go 10-6 or 11-5 this year.

My favorite team is the Titans. I have always been a fan of the Titans since I started watching football.
I do predict Chargers will go to the superbowl or at least to the end of the play offs.
They have an awesome defense. No matter who they play. Their offense is great to. I think they are a double threat this year.

They'd have to go at least 6-8 over the rest of the season, but the schedule gets noticeably tougher after their bye week this week:
O1 @Baltimore
O8 Pittsburgh
O15 @San Francisco
O22 @Kansas City
O29 St. Louis
N5 Cleveland
N12 @Cincinnati
N19 @Denver
N26 Oakland
D3 @Buffalo
D10 Denver
D17 Kansas City
D24 @Seattle
D31 Arizona
Not sure if there are 6 certain wins in there.

They will be better then 8 - 8. While it's true that they played 2 pretty bad teams, as long as they have #21 in the backfield they'll always have a chance...

their defense looks good so far..and were #1 against the run last year..on offense they have the best RB in the league..and the best TE in the league in my opinion..but they have a new QB..his first year as a starter...at some point he will hit a wall...but they should end the year with a winning record..they can win that division..the other teams look horrible..KC 0-2..DEN 1-1..OAK 0-2

I think they will win the AFC West....but at this point that is not saying a lot. I do think they will be at least 8 and 8. But they have a weak schedule.
