If you type "muslim", "islam", or "koran" into yahoo answers and do a spell check, you'll be advised to capitalize them...

If you type "christian" into yahoo answers, it does not advise capitalization.

Is this an innocent oversight, or a blatent show of how California liberals view the world?

(I'm not even religious...)

Muslim Islam Koran
christian Christianity catholic protestant Lutheran baptist Methodist bible
Jewish Judaism bud dist (spell check split this, Buddist was lower on the list) Buddhism Hindu

I entered these all lower case, and took the spell check suggestions. Odd that some christain religion names were capitalized, some not. Bible may be seen as a generic word for a reference book (ie The Macintosh Bible, etc)

I actually hadn't noticed this because sadly enough, I never bother to spell check my answers. Whether this is an innocencen oversight or deliberate I agree it does need to be corrected. Regardless of what religion we are or whether we are religious at all, they all deserve the same amount of respect. They should all be capitalized.

No oversight. You can offend Christians, Jews, Buddhists with impunity. But offending Muslims puts your life in danger.
