The Triangle is interesting. Many, but not all events there can be attributed to normal stuff like weather, piracy, etc. But green fogs, wildly swinging compasses, and pyramids seen on exposed seabeds go way past normal. Yes, it is likely that there is a connection, if only that there is a ufo base somewhere in the vicinity.

Methane gas deposits sometimes erupt from the sea bed causing boats to loose buoyancy and sink, and airplane engines to explode.

On another note: there is activity in the Caribbean, specifically the Bahamas. There is an underwater base for the craft.

There have been claims to that effect. Science has tried to discover if it's true or not without success. De-bunkers usually state it's all related to weather or a result of magnetic influences or human error, but again, no scientific proof! I personally do not believe in coincidences and the fact strange things happen in the same place over again merely shores up my belief.

Sure why not,

or it could be localized magnetic pull,

that is confused by time,

that is to say the pull is effected by the location on earth and the way it spins there have been reversals in the past it is likely trying to reverse causing instruments to fall, but it will take many many life times to reverse to us and our flicker lifes it seems as a odd event.

Just goes to show you how stupid we our collectively as a race.

UFO's are acutally build there, and not on extra terrestrial planets. So the answer to your question is yes.

Both ideas are put forward by unscrupulous journalists and authors who have no qualms about lying in order to sensationalize minor events and thereby make a buck.
