NTL/Telewest do all their provider independantly of another and BT. so which you've gotten broadband from them with out even having a landline. or you've gotten television, telephone and broadband. i do no longer understand why they have advised you that they are able to't do it, in spite of if that's the only way around no longer having a BT line.

You can have broadband connection via satellite. Search for 'best satellite broadband' and you will get the info you need.

Yes, you can have totally wireless broadband with http://www.mynow.co.uk/ - I used it for the 30 day evaluation period but didn't like it and got a full refund.

Read your notes mate.

In small print "We strongly advise you to keep a phoneline for emergencies, ie Powercuts etc"

You can ditch the line rental and use your moby for emergencies.

BT are not keen to advertise this fact.

it is possible with a satellite link but this may not be cost effective(we looked into this ourselves due to our geographical position-Shetland!)it can also be affected by weather conditions causing disruption to connections(this has happened a few times with several organisations here) depending on your location a cable link might be better for you.
