I'm starting to get really annoyed. I'm seeing alot of questions from students demanding suggestions for papers, science project and the how to's on how to do them, and asking ridiculous questions about "my partner and I need help...." when they can go online or a library and find some of these simple answers themselves. I go to college and I can't expect any one else to give me the answers....it wouldn't help me come test time. The sad part is, I'm seeing people giving the answers.....why enable them? It's tempting to give someone a wrong answer to teach them a lesson but I won't do it. Geez, do your own work......does anyone agree with me at all???? It wouldn't be a problem if it was asking for help, giving help I can understand..it's the DEMANDING answers is what get's me for clarification!!!

You are right, and I totally agree. However I do always try and answer their questions. The reason for this is that I think I can try and explain it in my own words in a way that I can convey well to people, and hope that I can help them to learn. I always try and explain how I came about the solution, particularly in maths questions, but why these people can't go to a webiste which is dedicated to their queries, is beyond me.

It's a tough one. Some questions are put in a way that makes you think the person probably is really trying, but stuck, so you answer or at least help. But I agree with you, too many of them read like "I don't want to learn anything, just help me get a good grade". There are also really worrying ones when the questioner can't even see that their question doesn't have enough information for anybody in the world to answer, like "What is the distance between A and B?". I keep hoping those are jokes, but oh dear, if they're real...

It's the dumbing down of America...Granted we do get some overseas students. But for the most part its a snap-shot of the "I need it NOW!...but don't want to work for it" mentality shining bright here on Yahoo answers.

Just a confirmation that as a nation, we are corroding. Where values and hard work play no part in this society of instant gratification.
