hey guys! its my first time to ask a question and im new hir...
hope you can answer and help me answer these....

i know that organic pesticides can become concentrated in fatty tissues of animals...

Im just wonderin',,, why dont water-soluble substances become concentrated in fatty tissues...?tell me why...

When have you seen water and fat mix. Think about it!!!

Try pouring oil in water and stir and you will find the fat does not become soluble in the water.

I would assume that because the water soluable substance is in fact water soluable.. it would most likely be excreeted through the urine as opposed to concentrating in the fatty tissues of animals.

Because they get caught and build up in the livers. It then acts like a strainer. Not everything goes through a strainer. Some substances are always left behind. Including water.

I could only imagine that water soluable matter digests in a different fashion, and is broken down differently before it gets to the point where it can be absorbed. That by that time, it is reduced to a more harmless state, and released by the body.
