I hope they are both tried for war crimes!
It is time to wake up and smell the coffee
people, DO NOT BE SILENT! Call the congressional switch board~202-224-3121.
Let the person on the phone know who your
representative is, and let them know they should vote against any proposal:
1. that would authorize unfair trials
2. allow for the use of interrogation techniques that amount to torture or ill treatment
3. Undermine the fundamental rigt of judicial review through habeeas corpus proceedings for anyone in detention
4. Codify a broad definition of "unlawful enemy combatant" that would grant expansive power to the Executive to detain people
5. Establish retroactive immunity for individuals who may have committed torture and other war crimes
4.

Chaney should be prosecuted for his involvement with the Haliburton deals. Bush deserves the same for going along with it and for his crimes agains humanity, but he's so good at rigging the polls and probably has so much dirt on other politicians through his wiretaps that no one has the gonads to challenge him. They made Clinton look bad because of an affair with Monica, but look at the horrible things that Bush has done not only to people in other countries, but to the less fortunate here. It's not going to happen.
First, the democrats would have to get a majority in congress. That may actually happen this November, but it's far from guaranteed.
However, the democrats remember extremely well how the republican attempt to impeach Clinton backfired. There's no way they'll head down that path. Oh, if they get their majority, there'll be plenty of congressional investigations that will uncover all kinds of scandals, but it'll take a year for all that dirt to come out, and another half year before they'd wrap up impeachment proceedings. Why bother, when impeachment would almost surely fail (a supermajority is required in the senate), and Bush would be just months away from the end of his presidency anyway?

Not sure what it would take, but since George W thinks he is God I doubt if anyone would impeach him.
