She is a media mogul. She does, in reality, do a lot of charity. Although I get the impression she is a huge diva, she is like any other superstar in any particular field, people love to hate those who have made it. And she deserved it as much as anyone else, she didn't come from money, or get a big break because she had family connections.

I really like her. She's an inspiration to many, inclding myself. She's also human just like each and every one of us.She's had her share of sufferings and did mistakes-and unlike most of us,she learnt from em and helps others to stand up for what they believe in.
Personally,I think she's uniquely original, fearfully and wonderfully made.God's most perfect creation! Thats how I feel about myself too and you should feel the same about yourself too.
She's one of those people who makes the world a better place, not by her donations and stuff, but for just being realistic and encouraging us in a way that we understand that-no matter what circumstances you were born into: you should have a dream and work day and night to achieve it!
One thing I'm scared of though...I fear that some of us who really adore her, including myself, would make d biggest mistakes of r lives and allow r adoration for her,to make her take God's place in r lives and thats very wrong!
And yes, I'm a self announced Oprah addict!!!
I can go on...and on...but to sum it'all up-She is a good mentor.

I thought she seemed like a very nice person. I don't know if she has gotten too big or what, but she very annoying to me now. And, no, it is not jealousy, even though she has more money than I will ever see.

i think she is one of the most successful t.v. and also film personality, who takes pains to present her stuff, with a sizable data, facts to support her themes, and has a knack for interviewing people.
she also takes care of her appearance, and loks attractive, in most of the outfits, and hairdo's she dons.
some of her shows, covering convicts serving term, with flash backs, and those with african women, were impressive. she also produced colour purple, a movie, in which she acted. she has her own production co. one of the richest african american woman ! charismatic, well-groomed, a talented show woman.
her recent show with tina turner was quite lively.

She's a wonderful Philanthropist, but I wish she'd spend more money here in the U.S. rather than Africa, as we send enough money over there.

I think that an excess of fame, sycophants, and riches have morphed her into Oprah-Jesus, the messiah of the couch potatoes.

that she toothlessly interviews boring celebrities far too often; that she has too many of those brain-washing "spririt" montages; and that she has a mounting god complex. Aside from that, it's all good.
