I recently mailed a package from the US to Canada, and I need to track it down, but the paperwork was in my car, and it is all gone now, I cannot get to it (long story), anyone have any idea if I can use receipiants address to retreive shipping info? Anything else, how? Where? Item was shipped through USPS and I did get delivery confirmation when I sent it. Thanks.

call the Post office that you sent it from. They may have records, but that is why they give you copies, so you can be responsible for your own stuff...

If you got delivery confirmation then you should be able to use that as it should have a tracking information. Then go to the website (ex if you used UPS) and use the tracking number to make sure it's where it's supposed to be. You could probably (I've never had to do this so grasping straws here) go back to the place where you first placed the paperwork, they should have it in their computer. If you used a check to pay for shipping show them the (or a copy of it) cashed check for proof that it was you that sent the package and they can pull it up on the computer. They'd have the information and can tell you the tracking number and even tell you where it's at right now.
Good luck
