Im trying to find a way to chat threw computers. Im only connected to the wireless internet. My friends are connected to the netowrk.. My school is basically ran on computers. I know with something with command prompt. but what do i enter? PLease help?!

If you know the name of your friends compute on the LAN, from a command prompt you can type this...

net send computerName message
as in
net send iris3 Hello my friend

Certain characters, like the /slash, are not allowed.

As an alternative, a freeware program called RealPopup will give you a gui interface for chatting over the LAN.

Net Send is what you are looking for. The basic structure is as follows:
net send {IP address/computer name} {message}

Open a cmd prompt and type: net send your friend's computer message
