Guys and Girls both act differently. Especially if their is a newcomer in the group. Its all about pecking order. Man isn't as far from his animal roots as people like to think.

Animals are like that too. Go to the zoo and watch how male and female animals behave alone and in groups......just like humans

Of course this is the case for most men...and this could be because:
A: he really likes you, but doesn't want to seem soft to his friends...
B: he likes what he is getting from you, but could care less about your feelings
C: he is immature
and sometimes it is a combination of all three. If you really like this guy, try waiting it out or saying something. We all know it takes them longer to mature.

They tend to get stupid and indulge in dangerous behaviors when with their friends. You don't hear of guys doing something really stupid when they are on a date only when they are with their friends and beer is involved.
