a crust is the outermost layer of a planet, part of its lithosphere. Earth's mantle is the thick shell of dense rock surrounding the liquid metallic Earth's outer core, and lies directly beneath the Earth's thin crust. The term is also applied to the rocky shell surrounding the cores of other planets. The planetary core consists of the innermost layer(s) of a planet.

it rather is trouble-free. use a tricky boiled egg, heavily cut back it in 0.5. the eggshell will represents the crust, the egg white represents the mantle and the egg yolk will signify the middle. =)

well, here's one: the mantle and the outer core is separated by a small boundary of rocks called the "mohorivicic discontinuity"... that's all. hope it helps!
