Abortion is a moot point. Why don't you ask a question that hasn't already been answered by the majority of voters and written in Law? Are you like, 14 years old?

Your question is also misplaced in Pregnancy & Parenting. This section is for people who are planning the most joyous event of their lives, or need advice for legitimate reasons. Take it to Society & Culture or Politics & Government -- or better yet, back to your junior high classroom.

This isn't a debate. This is a moronic soapbox and you're all stroking each other with the same opinion. I'm laughing!

It is a crime to chose that another human should die. the unborn child, the amniotic fluid, the placent are inside the mother's body, but they are NOT the mother's body. The DNA of the baby, placenta, etc is diefferent from the mother's from the moment of conception.Generally, also by the time the mother realizes that she's pregnant, the baby's heart is beating & it has measurable brain waves. By medical standards, it is alive. It can react to stimuli, etc. Imagine if this were a child that was on life support, but the prospect of recovery was 100%...this child would recover & go on to lead a normal life. Would there be ANY question that the child should remain on life support while it was needed? I think not. Especially if that child's mother said something like "I just don't think I'm ready to be a mother yet" or "It's too stressful for me to be a mother" The courts wouldn't hesitate to intervene & put that child up for adoption, to give that child every chance at life & give a child to a family that would love and cherish him!

Why do pro choicers say no one can force a woman to have a baby it is her choice??? Ofcourse it is her choice, does the government come to her house an impregnate her no that was her decision, that was her CHOICE! No one can force you to get pregnant, women do it to themselves then whine about how wrong it is to force them to have babies. Are they retarded let me make it very simple. IF YOU HAVE SEX YOU CAN GET PREGNANT! SPERM + EGG = BABY! Do all of you idiot feminists understand now. Pregnancies do not fall out of the sky it is a conscience and deliberate choice excluding rape which only accounts for 5% of abortions so dont use that scenario. Grow up and close your legs or at least get on birth control GEEEESSSSSHHHH!

I think if someone doesn't want to have a baby there is the option of abortion....and we have the right to choose it. There is a reason the option is there. I am not for abortions but in some cases its ALMOST necessary....I do not agree that abortion be used as a method of birth control. IT IS THE CHOICE OF THE WOMAN.

No the choice is whether or not to get pregnant - it's called being responsible and either not having sex or using condoms or being on birth control if you don't want to take the chance of getting pregnant
no one should be given the choice to kill an innocent baby

Was it her choice to not get pregnant? Or was it her choice to report a rape the time it happened and get a morning after pill?

I dont believe a baby has the choice to magically get rid of its parents because theyre a major inconvenience. If so, then maybe this would be a level playing field.

Its only a fetus when you dont want it, to everyone else its a baby.

The choice is not to have sex, and whether or not to use protection. For the very very small percentage of abortions that are performed because of rape, they have a choice to give the baby to a good home, or to keep their child and raise him/her. The baby's right to live should take priority.

I believe that a baby is a human the moment he or she is conceived. Your choice was made when you decided to have sex. You only have to do what is right and go for the child after that. But things are different if is a rape of any kind. I think that abortion is not the key.

If a women does not want to give birth and go through a pregnancy, she shouldn't have sex!!! All of these questions on here "can I get pregnant if...", Does no one have a mother to tell them about sex, and if not did you not go to school past the 4th grade, because in my school district they started sex education in 5th grade. If you have sex you can get pregnant! Use common sense! I am not against abortion completely, I think if there is a valid reason to get an abortion then you should not be hassled, such as, rape, incest, serious health problems!
In my opinion, if you have an abortion for a selfish reason you should not have kids. If you aren't mature enough to have safe sex, then go get your tubes tied, because you aren't mature enough to have kids!!

Having a baby is a life-changing event. If a woman doesn't want that, she should be able to choose.

Abortion should be between a woman, her doctor, and her god.

Everyone else--if you are so against abortion, why not volunteer to adopt the unwanted children? Not so eager now, are you?
