The most charitable thing you can do is to stop sticking your nose into the affairs of people who are vulnerable due to their social position and using your privileged status as a social worker to infiltrate their minds with your personal religion what ever it may be. Evangelists and missionaries are poisonous people who distort other peoples thinking by using the power of money or superior education.

Look for any local non profit organization, they normally arrange some events where they are looking for volunteers. Engage yourself with such organization first and see if they are genuine or not. You will be surprised to see how many people treat such organizations for easy money making business.
