Anticristus or bristlenose plecostomus are wonderful fish. Usually very shy. Mine are 3 yr old. I'm hoping for an 8 to 12 yr lifespan, but supposedly 20 is possible. Oftentimes they are short lived because they starve. Assuming they will survive on flake food falling to the bottom. They need supplementing with Algae tabs and parboiled fruits and vegetables.
