She loves dogs and horses and she really is a great boss, any ideas

Keep things business oriented. Nothing too personal or for her family.
1) Does she bring her lunch to work? A tote bag with a design she might like.
2) Does she let her coffee get cold? Buy a cup warmer/candle warmer that plugs in and will keep her mug warm.
3) Does she leave after dark? Buy her a flashlight/umbrella combo or small flashlight keychain.
4) Is she a gadget person? Shop Brookstones (or similiar) or even a hardware store to find a unique gadget she might enjoy.
5) Decorative file folders look great on a desk. Same for shaped post-its. I individually stamp post-its with initial or seasonal stamp. You can do this quickly and it will look like a flip book if you stagger the stamps slightly.
It's nice of you to want to give her something. Keep it simple and inexpensive so she won't feel guilty you spent $$ on her.

It doesn't relate to dogs/horses, but I can never resist a Starbucks gift card. It's got all the bases covered - tea - coffee - cookies - etc.

Get her a coffee mug that has a picture shot of a horse or dog on it......or better yet......go to Photomax.com.....if you have a picture of her dog or a horse...have it printed on a coffee mug (it's better if it's her own dog/horse). You can easily send in the picture of her dog through your computer and request it on a coffee mug... it's cool....they have a lot of different things you can do for calendars, coffee mugs, purses, t-shirts....you name it they can do it!
