That question doesn't make sense. If you released them they would die. Pet shop rabbits have been domesticated and don't have the skills to survive in the wild.

I'm a little confused on what you are meaning by this question. If you buy a male and a female baby rabbit, as long as you continue to handle them and care for them, they will remain tame. Rabbits that you get in a pet shop are not caught from the wild and tamed. They are bred by breeders and then sold to the pet shops to be sold to customers like you. They are bred for the tameness and they are usually not of show or breeding quality. Otherwise the breeder would have kept them for private sale or use in his/her breeding program. Once they become sexually mature (usually between the ages of 4 and 8 months old depending on what size a rabbit they are), they will start to mate, and you will get a whole lot of babies in a very quick period of time. If you have any specific questions about rabbits, please don't hesitate to e-mail me directly and I'll answer them as quickly as possible. My e-mail address is: kbviolin_98@yahoo.com

Are you thinking of releasing the rabbit into the wild because you don't want it or can't keep it any more? Don't do that. It may not have the instincts or skills needed to survive in the wild, especially if winter is coming in your area. Instead, call the pet shop where you got it and ask if they will take it back, even if you give it to them. Or put a note in the local paper, offering it for free to a good home.

my dad used to raise rabbits and YES they can live quite well if they are released or escape their cage. Once they are used to being fed and watered however, they stick around and you will need to make sure there is adequate water for them onhand.
Plus if you let them have free run of the yard- DO NOT cage them afterwards. I say this because we had one escape and it was loose for about a week. Once we recaged her to breed her she died after about 3 days. The vet said that the vegetation they eat gives them plenty of fiber and water and once she was back in her cage and being feed her regular feed it dehydrated her and clogged up her bowels causing her to die. It was not intentional by any means but it was cruel death for her and we learned a hard lesson from it.
SO, you can let them run loose in your yard if that is what you like but you cannot take them from the yard to a cage without getting them used to the cage a little at a time.

Is this a trick question? Firstly they would breed so you would have loads of rabbits. If you didnt handle them they would go a bit wild and if you didnt feed them they would die, but thats just cruel

They'll be fine, they're tame by nature. The one that dies may be you, after all the bunnies they'll breed

Depends on how much time you spend with them. If you feed them and take proper care they should live. http://www.rabbit.org

Really depends on whether or not you feed them... or whether you boil them, club them etc....
They would undoubtedly have wild sex... then you be overrun in a matter of weeks...
Put the in a sack... tie it and visit the canal...
