This depends on where your interests lay.
I am 49 and turning 50 within 3 months. My ideas are as follows.
1) Close friends and family to a catered meal at my house. Celebrate open my gifts, catch it all on film, and bring in some entertainment such as a magician, comedian, or musician.
2) Buy a block of tickets for a stage presentation "live theater".
3) Arrange or better yet have arranged a dinner mystery theater at a location such as a restaurant or hall or if the group is small at my home.
As you can likely see I'm not exotic so home grown is fun for me.
Just a few ideas I had!
Good Luck and Happy Birthday.

properly the prevalent is the over the hill all black stuff for decorations. And the Nifty Nifty (call) grew to become 50 sign interior the front backyard. If this may well be a parent or hubby or an substantial relatives member take the lead and do something you know they might rejoice with very lots. in the event that they are adventurous a white water rafting holiday or a warm air baloon holiday and an impressive picnic sundown dinner once you come back. Now that would somewhat mark the vast fifty for me.

Well, you didnt furnish much in the way of details. I dont know what you might like to do in your spare time or stuff like that. But, on your 50th you could plan a day trip or something like that. I dont know how your money situation is or what state you live in but you could plan a day trip to a nice scenic area, and the whole group could maybe plan on site seeing. It is really tough to recommend anything with nothign to go on. lol

You could organise a themed birthday party around the year that you were born, and try and give people suggestions on what to wear on their invites, we did this for my sisters 40th birthday and it worked really well, we started by giving her a surprise trip to Liverpool and a night out at the cavern to give her the music experience of the sixty's, we then took her to London to spend the day around Soho, oxford street and carnaby street to give her the sense of the fashion. we then finally arranged a party for her and had all sixty's music from the year that she was born and everyone dressed in late sixty's fashion so we had a lot of mods, hippies and groovers, we even found popular recipes from the sixty's as well. it worked really well and she still talks about it to this day.
