Nice try mj....but you do realize that you're wasting your breath don't you?
Granted I'm no prude but the young men and women of today are preoccupied with sex. It has become a casual act that equates to no more than eating or sleeping. Forget love. This is why I believe that so many marriages fail today. When something like sex becomes commonplace and as readily available by 15 year olds ready to spread their legs for any Tom, Dick or Harry that comes down the pike then why SHOULD you work to save a marriage? Throw it away like the broken DVD player. It's a throw-away society today. That includes relationships and morals too.
Personality? Judging by what I see here that also seems to be severely lacking. brains....ha! That goes without saying.
Thanks for asking the question. Actually...it's more opinion than question but shows you have brains and personality.

its their choice to portray themselves as they wish, and just because they put pictures of themselves up like that, doesn't mean that they don't have brains, and just because men may contact them because of their pictures doesn't mean that these women don't weed them out. Don't judge them, They can do what they want to seeing as they are adults, no reason you need to look at it.

For the comment about women then complaining about being sexually harassed and such, are you implying that these women are at fault for the actions of men. Don't all people have to take responsibility for what they do. Harassing someone is wrong no matter what the other person is wearing or doing. You must be of the ilk that believes men are much better than women, seems to me by excusing Mens behavior, you are giving women a whole lot of power. Don't these men have any self control or are they really that weak?

Check out the teen idols they are emulating.... pretty much says it all. Somehow the entertainment industry somewhere along the line thought: Oh gosh - half naked slutty teen singers are just the thing to sell music! And of course, the teen guys all go gah-gah over them, so to produce a similar effect on boys, the girls do the same thing. Nice, huh? Too bad they don't realize how shallow and degrading these images are portraying to the young.

You expect MySpace (or any online 'community') to reflect reality? It's a fantasy world. How many, do you think are showing their REAL pictures? And out of that - how many would REALLY act the way that the pictures indicate.

I would hope a small percentage. One of the negatives of the net is that far too many people are becoming such good liars with their lives and personalities that they are in danger of forgetting what reality is.

Excellent observation!

It's the result of constant advertising directed at children. They are known in the advertising industy as "pesterers" as they are very capable of harassing their parents into buying products that they don't need. By extension, the majority of these adverts or other forms of media are adult oriented, which results in children being exposed to a lifestyle that they are not mature enough to deal with.

The cult of celebrity doesn't help of course - they all would rather become semi-naked magazine cover stars than have a productive role in society... Although I think that could just be my socialist colours showing themselves :)

I totally agree, there is more to a woman than great hair, non-stop legs and hooters to die for......isn't there? Although the physical attributes attract us, it's normally the person(brains, personally etc.) in the package that keeps us together. For me, while a great looking woman is a wonderful thing, I do cherish good conversation, a real friend and more than anything a patient, tolerant companion.

Media has alot to do with it, and also that many of these young woman are growing up with TV rather than mom and or dad expressing to them the value of themselves. they feel unfortunately that their value and self worth is sexual. Very sad what is going on in today's society. A very large portion of today's young women have no self esteem and this is how they feel they need to look and portray themselves to attrack attention.

I know its horrible, but like the rest of us most of them will outgrow it, its the rebleion stage of their life, bad thing is their doing it on a widely know internet site where all their family and friends are. Yeah those pictures are going to haunt them for awhile. I think their not so much into meeting people as they are getting attention.

It's the society we live in now. My daughter is 8, and girls in her class (3rd grade) are already wearing make-up and dressing provocatively. And her teachers have the nerve to tell me she is immature because she is more interested in Pokemon and thing like that as opposed to whether or not a boy likes her. I hope she stays "immature" for as long as possible.
