They don't have to but everyone male or female should. The reason is b/c 1. you shouldn't want to live off of fast food all day or have someone cook for you, you should learn to make your own meals. 2. if you ever have a family, they might want to eat a home cooked meal. 3. why would you not do chores and live in filth? 4. how will you ever teach kids to clean or do chores if you don't? and all those answers go to both male and or female. However, I do think if a person is a stay at home mom/dad they should cook and do chores around the house. That is their "job". If the spouse is going to work a job outside the house, they shouldn't have to come home to clean or cook. Not unless it is to clean up after themselves or they just want to cook.

Someone in the house wether it's the man or the waoman need to know how to cook. Otherwise you will either starve or spend all your $ eating out. And as far as the chores are concerned- who wants to live like a pig? Somenodiea gotta clesn up, but it doesn't always have to be the woman.

You don't have to know how to cook. Things are so easy to make these days. Alot of good stuff comes pre-made. It is nice to know a few things, but you don't have to. I would like to think my wife wants to. With two little ones and one childish husband, I hope she enjoys cooking every now and then. I like to cook too!
Chores? I wouldn't call it that. I look at it like this. We all need to do our part to keep the house in some sort of organized chaos.

Yeah, must know at least how to cook & do household chores too, do or don't depends thereafter, but must know it skillfully, as it's their duty, responsibility. Almost all the woman must do it, if nothing else, just for peace, progress & prosperity of the family's sake, I believes. It's not men's job.

no women has to do it, but if you do it you wont be a single when your 50 a men loves a women that knows how to cook the other household chores... we dont care we just like food :-)

Everyone should - male and female. House's need to be cleaned and if you want to eat (better than microwave) you need to know how to cook.
In a world where both partners normally have to work these days - so household duties need to be shared - it's pretty much a no brainer that everyone needs to know how to cook and clean.

Of course not! Unless it's your job! I guess if you're a chef, you better be able to deliver the goods, or you'll get fired! Otherwise, no reason to have to know how to cook these days. Plenty of people to do it for you. That's why the restaurant business is booming in America! Rock on!

Nope in the world we live in today it's a 50-50 world or more.my wife and i will do what we can in the house and help where needed.Men can cook clean do it all as can women
