For casual wear that is cool and trendy and not THAT expensive, I would suggest River Island. They have branches all over and a big main store on Oxford Street. For corporate wear you could try Next. Again, they have stores all over. I don't care much for their casual clothes but they do very reasonably priced suits and accessories that look very good. For casual wear markets are also a good place to go. Camden Market has all you could want in terms of style. Spitalfields Market is also a favorite of mine. For the best markets in London visit: http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/markets.htm. If you are looking for shoes I would suggest visiting Office. They have stores all across the city and have an excellent selection of both casual and formal shoes. Department stores such as Selfridges or Harrods if you are looking to spend a little extra, or Debenhams or Fenwicks if you want something not so expensive are always good options. For female casual wear my wife swears by Dorothy Perkins.

You could go to any mall there and find good clothes, particularly a shop called NEXT. They do casual, and corporate clothes as well as shoes, bags and jewellery. They are the best.

H&M--they have very chic, stylish clothes for great prices, and sometimes a famous designer like Stella McCartney will do a line for them. Love them!
