When your computer is turned on, the cooling fans are on. This is how dust enters your PC or Server. When off, the fans are off, there is no air being drawn in to cool, hence no dust either.

KEEP PETS AWAY from your computer. This is bad for your computer because the animal is in such close proximity to the intakes, their dander & hair is easily drawn in with the cool air. Pet dander is the worst kind of dust particles because of their abundance and large size. Excessive pet hair inside a computer is actually a fire hazard.

i think this is definitely not good for your com. hair, flakes and that could very easily do damage to some of the small components if allowed to build up. if you can not keep the cat off your tower then you will soon find it very necessary to do maintenance even more frequently then what most users need.a good idea to keep your com in good condition, and most people don't do this enough is occasionally say each month or as needed spray the insides out with air compressed in a can,or other wise known as moisture free cleaning dust remover spray.oh and btw the reason the cat likes there is 2 fold one the warmth and two the vibrating motor

The only thing that can affect ur machine here is the cat hair.better clean up regularly.ur pet sits there b'coz of the warmth.make sure the cat is not on top of machine for a long time.as the increasing temperature can have its own side effects on cat..its better to teach ur cat some manners now!!!

No, it won't hurt it. As long as the cat doesn't shed a lot, and it doesn't get sucked into the computer it'll be okay. Even then if it does, all you have to do is take the side panel off, and blow it out with some compressed air.

No. The warmth from the motor running feels good to your cat. Mine, a long haired Blue Persian use to do it. If you want lay a hand towel over it, but dont cover the back. The air needs to get to the motor so it doesn't over heat.

No, that's fine...the cat probably likes it because it is warm. You might want to every so often clean it out because cat hair will probably get into the case.
