The baby is running out of room in there so he's not quite as protected as before. You need to call your doctor immediately!! You should have called the day it happened just to be safe. Since baby is still moving normal he probably is ok.But, swelling is not normal so you do need to be seen. Good luck

Did you bring this to your ob's attention immediately after it happened? Where any test's done?
Swelling in late pregnancy can be pretty normal for some woman, its called edema. Some woman have horrible swelling while others don't have any.
If this is still a concern to you, bring it up to your doctor, and request at least an ultrasound to check on the baby. Better safe than sorry

It is common for women to have a fall late in pregnancy, becuase (let's face it) your bigger, you feel awkward and your balance is off. The baby is usually okay because he/she is so well protected inside of the amniotic sac.
Swelling is also common in late pregnancy, but because you seem to have noticed an increase in swelling right after you fell, I would definitely call the doctor's office and mention it to them.
A lot of times, I am so shy, embarrassed, uncomfortable to call the doctor to ask a question, but once I do it, I always feel better. So pick up the phone and call right now! (That's what you are paying them for.)

I'm sure everything is fine if you weren't concerned enough to go to the doctor, however, if you're concerned now, go to the doctor. A lot of the time in this late of the pregnancy, you don't swell, you just get harder. I did at least, until the last week, then I looked like a beached whale. I hope everything is fine.

From what I have read, there is a lot of cushion there to protect the baby, but you should have called the dr. right away to let him know what happened and decide if you needed to come in for a check up. If the baby is moving normally it is probably fine, but I would still call.

honey, you should be calling your dr. i don't think the baby is wrong since he still moves and the amniotic fluid always cushions very well....but maybe your belly suffered a lot and it's swelling...but I can't see you and don't know how bad you feel. Just give the dr a call, tell him what happened and he may tell you what to do, and if he thinks is serious he'll have you go by his office. Hope it goes well.
