I was in my human sexuality class and that subject came up (before class started). My boyfriend trims and because of it I love to um "take care of him". Why don't more guys do that? I mean you all want us to go "downtown". How can you expect us to take a trip downtown when you have closed for construction signs up?

It is personal preference. But it does not necessarily indicate a lack of caring or lack of cleanliness on their part. Most older men find shaving of any kind unmanly, especially in that area. Professional swimmers are constantly ridiculed for shaving their legs, imagine the response to shaving the pubic area! Non facial, or body shaving, has long been associated with a woman, underarms being the most obvious.
I'd say if you want your man to shave, tell him! If it's uncomfortable to discuss, make it into forplay and allow him to shave you after you shave him! Make it fun... but respect his decision if he doesn't want to do it.

For the same reason some women don't. It's not caring about what their partner finds attractive.
But- this whole shaving of the pubic area is really a new phenomenon. 15 years ago it was nearly unheard of for either gender outside the porn industry.
I remember being 15 years old and getting there with my girlfriend (it was the late 70's) and finding so much hair there I couldn't find my way around. But- that was normal back then. nevertheless it really surprised me.
But really- it's all just about style... which is subjective and personal preference. There is no 'right' or 'wrong'.

As a woman, I personally like things cleaned up down there. I feel like its only common courtsey. I wouldnt expect a guy to be excited about jumping into a hairball, and nor do I :)
Its merely a distraction, so lets highlight the main attraction!

To each his own. I am sure you don't do some things that some guys would prefer you do. Supposedly you are with a guy that "trims down there" and thats what you want. So what is the problem.

I like to stay nice and trim down- yonder.
(NOT SHAVED more like crew-cut) It is clean, tidy and looks better.
Why shouldn't guys do their best to look nice and take care of themselves as well as the ladies?

You answered a question I've been trying to get an answer to for years! I often wondered if women appreciated it if men would "trim" themselves? Why should we expect women to do that for us and not give them the same courtesy? In my opinion, if a man expects his woman to go "down" on him.........he should keep himself more presentable!
