For those of you that did not see it, during the Oregen/Oklahoma game, the game was won based on extremely bad play calling. On an onside kick, an Oregen player clearly touches the ball before it goes ten yards, despite the review the refs let Oregen have it. Same series Oklahoma called for pass interference, despite the review that shows the ball being tipped.
The officials were suspended for one game for their incompetence, I along with the rest of Oklahoma want them fired.

I am a 92 OU grad, you are lucky to be in Japan, I live in Moore, it is all anyone talks about.

Amen to that. I graduated from OU and I would have been outraged if I saw it. Good thing I am in Japan cause I would have been screaming. They should be fired for the rest of the year. Oklahoma no longer has a BCS chance. We would have won that game too.

The action on the field happens so fast that you can't fire a ref for making mistakes, as for the Replay blame the NCAA. Under the current system the refs do not review the play a local area person is hired to do so. The referees never saw the replays to determine if the right call was made. The NCAA should either have the officials review the play as they do in the NFL or have an extra official who is a part of that crew in the booth. Truth is though, Oklahoma let Oregon get close enough for bad calls to determine the outcome. If you have a team down you have to put them away.

No real point to firing them, but the results of the game should be overturned and the victory should be awarded to Ok. Also the NCAA needs to step in and fix IT'S mistake(when you are done laughing I'm sure you'll agree) as there is NO REASON for Pac-10 officals in that game. They should have used UNBIAS officals like the Big East or Big 10 or SEC or any number of other confrences. I think the NCAA needs to fix this so that when it is non-confrence a third confrence provides the officals.

FIRING THEM WOULDN'T GIVE YOU A WIN, INSTEAD OF A LOSS. I DON'T THINK THE ENTIRE CREW SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED. THE REPLAY OFFICIAL IS OBVIOUSLY BLIND AS A BAT OR EXTREMELY BIASED TOWARDS THE PAC-10, AND HE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE FIRED. REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY DO TO THE OFFICIALS, OKLAHOMA BETTER START WORRYING ABOUT THE REST OF THE SEASON. WHAT'S DONE IS DONE. THE SOONER NATION HAS HAD 2 1/2 DAYS TO SOUND-OFF. LET'S MOVE ON. EVEN IF YOU HAD GONE UNDEFEATED, MY BUCKEYES WOULD HAVE SMOKED YOU AT THE END OF THE YEAR ANYWAY.

You would have to go back to there track record from start to finish in thier NCAA Career. I suspect that thier previous tracrecord is pretty clean otherwise it would be a lot longer then a 1 gane suspension.

It should be at least a multi game suspension. They didn't just cost a team a game they cost them a BCS bowl and a chance at a National Title, no matter how slim.

What is sad is that OU fans have gotten the officials home phone numbers and have called in dozens of death threats. Even telling the officals that they will kill their wives and their children.
The replay official said one caller threatened to "cut up his daughter in her bed"
Police are now patrolling their homes and detectives are investigating the phone threats.
Very classy you Oklahoma fans!

Questionable calls are and always have been a part of the game. I challenge you to look back in Oklahoma's past and not find a game turned in your favor due to a questionable call.
It is a GAME, not life or death or rocket science. College football will never be the answer to world peace, AIDS in Africa, or poverty in America. Keep things in perspective and your priorities straight.
Your true character will be shown in a more favorable and mature light by exhibiting good sportsmanship and accepting that these things happen.
