I just stepped on a cockroach on my kitchen floor and it made the most disgusting sound as it crushed under my foot but what was weird about it was that it felt in a sense, theraputic/calming. And also it felt really powerfull to know that my foot has such power. Is this normal to feel!? Have you ever crushed a bug like this? What was it and how did you do it?

OMG, I bought a pair of platform shoes the other day so that I could use them to squish the slugs that eat my flowers!!

I bet platform shoes could do some serious damage to some cockroaches, too! lol

You are asking the wrong person here! I even feel sorry for a fish hanging on a fishing line! Their little eyes rolling around in their head, unable to breathe. I'm just pathetic.
I hope you had a shoe on when you crushed your bug. Gross!

Don't sweat it, it's a bug! But I think you might want to know where you crushed one, unless you cleaned id right away instead of walking away.... you might have deposited its eggs with every step. They say about cockroaches, where you actually see one, you can be pretty darn sure there's 10,000 more in that vicinity! Creepy! Step on them but don't help them spread. Might help to fumigate or something to get rid of them...
As far as I am concerned I have a real phobia of cockroaches... I can step on spiders, but I can't bring myself to step on a cockroach. It totally freaks me out. My mother??? She would dance on them.. no fear. and she's the most gentle person I know. But women don't share their house with cockroaches, as she puts it.

You have some issues. . . i'm sorry. it's a damn BUG!! It doesn't take much to crush it and if that's what makes you feel 'powerful' then you have some self-esteem problems....
