I can.

Does it follow that the crueler I am the kinder I am also?

If so, If anyone wants to feel the fountain of my massive kindness, just come and stand in my dark room with me, my egg whisk and and a set of fluffy handcuffs...I will demonstrate that I am the kindest person in the worlds.

Do you have to experience pain before you can understand true pleasure?

Yes sometimes you just have to be cruel to be kind.
Example: I help someone once start a new life got them a place to live a Job the person was doing so well then they started gabling and lost the lot came back to see if I would take them in I knew if I did they would not learn a very important lesson so I said no.

It is the same a helping someone instead of hindering them.
Example: I won't lend money to people if I know they would try to take advantage of me and may use the money for the wrong reasons, however if they were in need of a meal I would feed them.

The only things is the person you are cruel to never understands it was for their own good.

It is like that 2 letter word that people find so hard to say "NO"
I find it quite easy to say and I do know one thing once you say it you never have to say it again : )
