For the same reason that arms get smelly.Sweat glands. Just like you have them in your arm pits you have them on the bottoms of your feet, and poor air circulation , bacteria, stress, and just about the same things that cause you to sweat anywhere else on your body cause you to sweat there too. Try soaking your feet in a soapy solution for a while, drying them real good and swiping deodorant across the bottom of your foot before putting your socks on. Another thing, it takes shoes 2 days to dry out so, switch up. I hope this helps.

Sweat does not smell its the bacteria that grows from the sweat that causes the odor. If you don't wear socks then your shoe absorbs the sweat and the bacteria grows in the shoe. Every time you put on the shoes your feet pick up the odor. You need to clean the shoes, wash your feet daily and wear socks and spray your shoes after wearing with an anti fungal spray.

Mine don't smell that bad except if I have been working hard. The reason is if you wear really tight shoes then there will be a smell off them but if you wear loose fitting shoes that should solve the problem
