If so why are not our enemies trying to achieve it?

Not when your enemies have weapons. Morals don't matter. you kill or be killed looks like to me. Just try and turn the other cheek in this war. try and fire from a Moral stand point. No moral such fire. It's shoot or get shot. What do you want to see? Someone saying Wow 100 dead soldiers with Morals or 100 live ones saving their Butts Morals or not? Our enemies are Lamebrains with no morals no regard for human life. they just enjoy killing ang war. Shooting and Bombs. They are sick idiots.

Militarily it makes sense having the moral high ground, because it demoralizes the enemy. Of course, peoples' views of what is the moral high ground varies.

Yes it is. It also is the main reason to fight.

Our enemies in a way try to get there, but they are convincing only to their own submissive populations. Living in police states, you do not have much latitude to criticize the rationale of your rulers.

You go for what YOU like. I like about 500 yards with a scoped, heavy barrelled, bolt action .308 with a flash hider, from deep cover, wearing a Ghillie suit.

Personally I would choose the bridge of the 'U.S.S Ronald Reagan' - plenty high enough - and very mighty too!

it helps at some point like when its time for massive retaliation but on the tactical level in many way its a handicap
