It is a decently-maintained gravel road in summer, but it has frost heaves and potholes in places.

A truck-based RV would be fine, for sure. OR any of the pick-up sized rigs. Those old, mid-sized RV that got put on an Oldsmobile Delta-88 chassis might be sketchy unless you go real slow on the rough bits.

People take motorhomes on it all the time, but it is definitely more driver workload to watch for rough spots and slow down as needed.

Snow will be coming soon, and they don't try to keep it open, so if you are doing it right now, you better watch the weather and the forecasts closely and be ready to get out to Route 4 (to the east) or Route 3-Parks (to the west) pronto if needed.
