Some laptops (mine for example) have a second monitor output and you can choose which monitor to use, the laptop, external or both.

If you have this facility, you can get an SVGA to UHF or an SVGA to RGB or maybe an SVGA to SCART.

Do a search for "SVGA adapter", there are thousands of different versions. See what is available on the TV and pick one to match.

Good Luck

The ability to hook the back of the computer to a TV set does not lie in the computer, but in the graphics card.

Some graphics cards have the necessary outputs that modern television sets have, so all you would need is the cable.

You just have to check the back of the computer where the monitor is plugged in and see if it has the necessary output plugs.

Good luck.

Easiest thing is to run and s-video cable from the laptop to the TV. If you do not have an s-video input on the TV, get an RF modulator from Best Buy, Radio Shack or wherever. They run about $25US.

if you pay 49 bucks for it you are getting ripped off.

All the answers so far are good but the truth is unless we know exactly what kind of video card you have or what kind of laptop you have, we cant answer you for certain.
