Our daughter loves her Exersaucer Smartsteps. It folds up pretty easily and we haul it back and forth from our house to her grandparents' house every day. It has a TON of fun activities and teaches counting, letters, colors, animal sounds, you name it!!! I even have fun playing with it...
It is also easy to assemble... I spread out all the parts (it comes completely disassembled BTW - most of them do) in the middle of my daughter's floor and had it up and running in about half an hour. It needs batteries though... six AAA, so have them on hand if you get one.

My daughter played with them jungle gym things. They are definitely portable. One that makes noise and lights up helps a lot. Lay her under one of them and I'm sure she will enjoy it. Good Luck and congrats!

We have a bumbo seat - he sits in that and can join in with what we're doing - whether that's eating, housework, in the garden etc. He's 4 months and loves it.
