Saw Jamie's school dinners last night, and whatever you think of the guy himself, he has certainly managed to get the government to act. He secured over £200 million to go into developing school dinners over the next six years.

People call him arrogant and partronising - but he has managed to achieve results. Why can't the Conservatives or the Liberals or even the media get government to act? Isn't it worrying that we have rely on celebrities to get basic things done like feeding our children healthily?

I think he's fantastic and I wish people would stop bad-mouthing him.
At least he's a person who uses his celebrity status to get something for our kids and especially the kids in schools who definitely need better food at school.
Yes it is very worrying we have to rely on celebrities. He's not like politicians - he doesn't have an ulterior motive for doing something like this, he's doing it because it needs changing and he feels motivated to do something about it.

Yes he defiantly has more influence on the government. It just shows what a sad world we live in when the only way we can get the government to act on a serious problem is by getting celebrity endorsements.

The opposition partys can't seem to do anything about it because whichever party is in charge they do not want to be seen taking on an opposition idea, they would rather take a celebrities and then call it their own idea!!

Also if they didn't do anything about a matter put into the public by a celebrity the whole public knows and thinks bad of the government.

Fox is giving the standard public what they choose. because of the fact the familiar individual observing information can no longer have faith something many of the different networks say, they turn to Fox. i'm no longer asserting Fox is or isn't trustworthy, yet they look greater purpose than say Chris Matthews, Wolf Blitzer, Keith Olbermann, or Rachel Maddow. usa is a midsection-precise leaning united states of america and that's to whom Fox performs.

He has a big mouth. It is easy for Blair to let him have a go then blame him when it all fails. Lloyd Grossman made a mess of hospital food. Blair lives to be with celebs so soon you may find Jeremy Clarkson getting money to put a 150mph lane on motorways.

He managed to expose a huge secret, School dinners are crap.

The government had to react quickly to save face and are now spending the sort of money that they should have been all a long

Because he actually cares about results, rather than self congratulatory pontificating.
I watched the first series of it, and came away with a greatly altered view of Jamie Oliver. We need more people like him, and fewer self obsessed morons.

The power of Television rather than Jamie.

Blair asked to appear on Telly - If he refuses, what's he ashamed of?

Appears but refuses any money - wicked old skinflint

Appears, he's gotta say yes.

Could only happen that way on the tv, so it's not Jamie O, although lending his name to it helped.
