I have to say that those are some pretty weak miracles. Some quote about mountains being like pegs is proof that they intended it to be proof that mountains have roots? Some shot of a stellar nova taken by the Hubble telescope and false-colour enhanced by NASA to have a reddish colour is proof that the Koran's line about the end of Heaven being of a rosy hue is true?
That's stretching a loooong way for some pretty feeble attempts at legitimacy. I think that if you took random sentences out of any book, you could come up with links to 'scientific facts' that are as close, if not closer than these examples.
I don't really see why links to scientific discoveries would make the Koran (or the Bible, or Shakespeare) any more or less legitimate for what its purposes were. The Koran was never meant to be a scientific text, so its veracity, or lack thereof as a scientific text has absolutely no bearing on its legitimacy as a religious document.

Although Dar al Islam was a fantastic realm while Europe floundered in the Dark Ages, the knowledge they had was inherited from the Greeks. I have never heard of any advances due to the teachings of the Q'uran, which is a book on religion, not science. I wish you religious people would take your discussions to a religious page and leave science to science.

did you know Mohamed and his fellow Arabs were so ignorant they worshiped a meteorite , and even today every gullible Muslim still worships a meteorite, you would think that if Mohamed was the messenger of god , god would have given Mohamed a hint that it was only meteorite.
yerp Mohamed had some knowledge of Greek scientific discoveries, noticeably the Arabs couldn't advance it at all
and Islam destroy all rational and therefore scientific thought
because if they thought rationaly they would see that the koran is a mish mash of other peoples ideas
how any one could take it seriously is amazing

Yes, pick out the bits you want to advertise, and hope nobody asks about the bit where Mohammed INSTRUCTS his followers to spread Islam by the sword. You are so dishonest that Mohammed himself and every Muslim should be ashamed of you.

Dont forget 10! Dont forget terrorism, and religious extremism, oh and the islamic mantra "kill the innocents/infidels!" I read the article you at your link. It proves nothing. The only thing that it proves is that they realized sperm made babies. That's not a great scientific breakthrough. Wake up,man the quran is just a book written by men. It's not even a good book, and it wasnt even written by good men. **** muhammad.
