When I was that age I loved the movie The Adventures of Milo & Otis (about a cat and a dog and their journey). If you have a Wal-Mart you can get the DVD in the $5 bin. Also, you can't go wrong with Disney-Pixar movies. I don't know a kid who doesn't love them all.

Paper Brigade is a good one for the 6-8 age group. I just love that movie, and so do my boys ages 14 & 15. It is good for all age groups!!!
You could also check out your local library...my mother-in-law goes there and gets good, clean, funny movies all the time that she lets me and my kids watch. We haven't been disappointed once!

both "Shrek"
Harry Potter (years 1-4)
"Robots"
"the Incredibles" or really ANY Disney
"Buddy"
"Sky High"
"Adventures in Babysitting"
both "Ice Age"
"Because of Winn Dixie"
any of "the Muppet movies"
"Mouse Hunt"
"Matilda"
"Chicken Run"
"the Cat in the Hat"
Those are just the "children's movies" that I can think of. Our daughter loves disaster movies like "Twister" and "Volcano" or "Dante's Peak". She also loves classics like "Bringing up Baby", "Charade", "Monkey Business" or "Father Goose". Really, it depends on you and what you're willing to let your kids see. I don't have an issue with cussing since, unfortunately, she hears that at school and from other adults. Absolutely no sex scenes though.

My kids favorite has to be a movie called "Ping". It is a lot like home alone but a dog instead. Really cute movie.
