It is when a fluid is squirted into the vagina to clean it out, douching however is generally no longer used because as well as being totally unnecessary as the vagina is self-cleaning it is actually bad for vaginal health -douching washes away discharge vital to vaginal health, douching can force bacteria further into the vagina where it can cause serious problems, douching can also leave women more vulnerable to STD's.
Women used to douche because it was believed it was needed to be clean - this was before women started learning about their bodies and when taboos surrounding a women's body were worse than they are now.

Douching is when you use a bidet or a special applicator to cleanse your vagina. this used to be done reguarly by women who beleived that it was needed to keep the vagina clean. It is still sometimes done by women today who beleive it can help them conceive a certain sex baby by changing the ph (acidity) value of the vagina to suite the needs of the sperm for that sex.
Douching is probably best avoided as it can wash out all the "good" bacteria leaving you vulnerable to thrush, force bactria into the cervix and cause damage to the cervix.

Douching is a way to clean a woman's vagina. It is a bottle that you buy from the store and it has a spout that you insert inside you and you squeeze the contents of the bottle and the liquid goes inside you and cleans all the area there for you.
