There is a powder that is available from garden centres. The powder is dissolved into warm water to be put into a garden sprayer. Spray the whole area of ground frequented by the foxes including walls and fences. (They can easily jump over these like cats) The spray is harmless to animals and plants and simply displaces the scent that the foxes lay down to mark their territory and discourages them from entering the treated area. It may be necessary to treat the area several times.

by not leaving dustbins open, or with lids they can get into. No rubbish left anywhere. Keep a clean garden area. Foxes r scavengers and u leave out foot, even left over birds bread etc, they will come to yr garden. Clear up after bbqs etc

An old timer in our neighborhood told my dad long ago to put on some old clothes and get really sweaty in them. Do that a number of times without washing the clothes (I know this sounds gross). Then hang the clothes on something in the garden. Supposedly the strong odor of a human will keep them from coming in.

You could hire a bunch of Brits and a pack of fox hounds, dress the Brits up in red hunting suits, give them hunting horns, put them on horseback, then let them chase the foxes back and forth through your garden.

I assume that damage is being caused in the garden. If so, then it is probably a badger and not a fox. A badger can trash a whole garden in one night.

If they're not hurting anything...leave them alone. They will eat the moles and voles that tear up your plants.
If they're in there digging around (maybe making a den?), then try the human hair trick. You could also try sprinkling some hot pepper flakes or cloves (ground or the oil) where they've been nosing around the most. They won't like those smells either.
Or...get a live trap or call animal control.

Your going to need about 50 dogs, and at least 10 posh people on horseback, then you going to need some hippies to get in the way of the posh people, and some police to get in the way of the hippies, and some press to film it all.
This has proven to be the most efficient way of culling foxes

Can't see why you would want to. We should look after our wild country friends before they become extinct. They have as much right to live as you have. You are obviously not a country or animal lover. Every bird, instect and animal has its place in the environment keeping numbers in check naturally.

try using human hair in a stocking, just ask your barber for some and stuff a stocking till its a ball shape, tie the end off and place down wind of the offending fox. Apparently they fear humans, so the scent of the hair should be enough to scare them off. Failing that just shoot the bastards!
