Go to the Mac counter and have them do your makeup. Try it before the wedding to make sure you like it. They have great products and they stay on really good.

Don't use artificial eyelashes. They are hard to get right if you aren't used to applying them. Most of the time, they just end up looking fake and tacky.
If you can, go to a cosmetics counter and ask about a makeover. Here in the US, most of them will do it for free. Then you can buy the same colors cheaper if you are on a budget.
You will also want to do a full regime for your wedding day, not just "shimmer blusher n eyeshadow". The pictures wil be there for the rest of your life, so you will want to look great in them. The lighting and cameras aren't always friendly to natural skin tones. It can make you look washed out and pale.
Try an on line virtual makeover. They are fun, easy, and free. It will give you an idea about what colors will look best on you.

If you don't know how to apply makeup, think about having a friend help you. If you can afford it, then have it professionally done on your wedding day. This is not the time to learn how to do something new for the first time.

You are all set for a big day. Give yourself a treat. Go to a classy beauty shop and have it done professionally. It won't cost that much and you only get married once. Tell them the occasion, and there are people there that specialize in bridal make-up. This is a MUST for you, not an extravagance, but a MUST. You won't be sorry, believe me. Have your hair and nails done too. It will make you feel all the more better and in the pictures that you will have forever, you will see this as one of the best investments you ever made.

i think the best makeup for a bride on her special day is simple and light. definitely no artificial lashes. just use concealer, a light foundation, a natural eyeshadow, a light colored lipstick that will stay for more than 4 hrs, a blush on and don't forget to apply white eyeliner. It will make you look fresh even if you lack sleep.

aww congrats on getting married.I don't really know everyone has different tastes in make up personally I love the whole theatrical look and stuff but that for sure is not your taste.Just down play it and keep it simple you seem like a simple girl make up wise.Just have good skin that day and apply mascara and a light neural eye shadow some blush and lip color if you wish.

Don't overdo it. Remember that this person is marrying you and not your fake face!!!But I understand with pictures and stuff.Fake eyelashes are good if you have none-kind of like fake boobs!LOL And for goodness sakes goreally easy on shimmery products especially if there will be pictures. And be careful where you get your makeup done professionally. Some stores don't require any training for there sales people. And remember-NATURAL, NATURAL, NATURAL!!!

I would recommend doing your own make-up for your wedding because if you have it done by a professional you may not look like yourself and you still want to be yourself on your wedding day. It would be sad if you looked like a clown in your wedding photos. Good Luck and Congratulations.

I'd keep the makeup at a minimum. Keep it nice and natural looking.
