Please note that restore may lose all your data (eg pictures e-mails etc) unless you know what you are doing.
I would suggest running a spyware killer as this could be part of the problem.
I use windows defender which you can download from www.microsoft.com (windowsmarketplace.com also lists other free spy killers.
Have tried running defragmenter or disk cleanup from the system tools menu under accessories. These may take a while, but it may pay dividends in speeding up your PC.
Also if you have a large number of shortcuts on your desktop or a lot of programs run at start up this will also caause PC to slow down. Delete non essential shortcuts (Program will not dissappear) and save documents only to C drive or My documents and not to desktop!

the term 'rebooting' is used innaccurately by people who don't know the difference - rebooting is indeed shutting down and restarting your pc.
what they mean is to 'restore' the computer from a restore cd - if you were supplied with one when you bought your pc. if you weren't supplied with one then you're out of luck because you can't just make one.
you just insert the cd, restart your pc and follow the prompts.
you can try using system restore to roll back your computer if there are restore points, but if there aren't it means having someone fix it for you.

Go to Start, all programs, accessories, systems tools, Disk Clean up. All boxes checked Clean all your files.
Repeat, goto Disk defragmenter, hit the defrag button let it run.
Reboot is just restarting your computer which wont help any.

rebooting means to restart your computer, but if your internet is slow, contact your ISP (internet service providers) to see what the problem is, if the problems still exists, then change your ISP.
