we got tv shows whos main plot is that its ok for kids to curse & disrespect parents & authority figures. we got shows about women trying to score with as many men as possible setting women back 50 years but yet its supposedly kool. (sex in the city & desperate housewives) we got shows that make a joke of family values & f marrrigae(bachelor bachlorette & wife swap) we got shows that are supposedly real even though they are not & are as scripted as a pro wrestling match(all reality tv) we got cartoon shows that shows kids bare butts digging up their nose or scratching their butts but yet thats a kids show so go figure. best advice is go read a good book because tv is nothing but garbage.

It's all about shock value. Pretty soon we won't be shocked anymore. (if we even are NOW). The kid I hate most is Jake from Two and a Half Men. What a disrespectful brat. If we are wondering why our kids are turning out this way, we need look no further than the tv and shut it off.

Most (but not quite all) television shows are marketing to the lowest common denominator. Much like USA Today has done for newspapers. You end up with shows that you can miss the entire middle of and still know what is going on. Easy to do when things like creative writing and real plots are left out.

I agree, that is why I watch mostly Food Network History and Discovery Channel some PBS. However, TV markets to the masses so until the masses demad a change, it will stay this way.
So for now all you can do is change the channel

Reality TV shows nd shows like Dr Phil are even worse. They air the dirty laundry of people for everyone in the world to see. Makes US citizens look like a bunch of trailor park living, uneducated doofuses.
